Pre & Post – Natal Pregnancy and Pilates
When planning a pregnancy, or in the middle of a trimester, or just delivered a baby, the body undergoes a great deal of hormonal and postural changes.
Some women develop symptoms such as lower back pain, sciatica, pelvic pain, swelling and inflammation. Many of these symptoms can be dealt with by strengthening and core exercises.


How Can We Help?

At Balance, we aim to focus on the diaphragm, core, and pelvic floor strengthening. During pregnancy or after childbirth, the core muscles and pelvic floor can weaken and stretch to allow the body to withstand a growing baby. Pilates can greatly balance the body and condition these muscles in order to allow for a comfortable labor and faster recovery afterwards.
